Literally who even cares about gay marriage?

A lot of people, actually.  I don’t much care personally, but then that’s because I view marriage in starkly practical terms.  Marriage at this time would not be financially and socially to my advantage compared to my current arrangements, but I know other people are in different situations and/or view the institution differently.
