My primary motivation for blogging has always been self-indulgence, but I admit that I like seeing when posts of mine, sometimes from years ago and concerning fandoms I’ve long since left behind, randomly pick up notes and sometimes even reblogs. I suppose that’s one thing Tumblr has been good for.

Do I admit to taking a certain degree of pleasure in watching the purity-wanking crowd tearing itself apart over a pairing in their latest favorite show because even they can’t decide on whether or not it is Problematic and therefore evil per their absurd standards?

Yes, yes I do.

Diablo is indeed quite fun and will likely be good for a lot of replays, but there’s not much to talk about unfortunately. I feel like after having a constant Tumblr project for two months I’ve run out of things to keep me busy on here.

Any ideas?

I think I’m late to this particular observation, but the latest Heroes update features Jamke and a new map of (western) Jugdral in a modern style.

So many updated assets for Genealogy in Heroes…could be useful for an upcoming project or two, you know.

Until I started reading up on the, ahem, discourse of a certain popular fandom I had no idea that there’s a blog that keeps statistics on the popularity of ships on Tumblr. I honestly can’t think of a more obvious indication that the supposed moral outrage over particular ships is really just a cover for a shipping war and popularity contest.

I’ve never really gotten into Pride month, mostly because it’s so unbearably hot in June that I can’t imagine going outside to celebrate anything. I have no idea how the people who’ll be marching in the parades in about a week don’t all have heat strokes.

Also Decadence is drunker and raunchier anyway.

Unlike some of my mutuals, I haven’t gotten anyone asking me to weigh in on the apparently hotly-debated question of pineapple on pizza. *pouts*

I am of the opinion that the best use for pineapple is as a cocktail mixer, and that its value otherwise is questionable. The topping debate that really ought to matter though is whether shrimp belong on pizza. The answer is clearly yes – there are very few culinary contexts in which you can’t stick shrimp and make them work somehow – but it seems some pizza purists balk at the thought of shellfish on their food.
