Well, I’ve had quite an exhausting day – we toured several plantations on the river north of Baton Rouge, and to prove that I’m not just slacking off from writing Downton meta I’ve even put a pic under the cut to prove it.  We actually took quite a few more, but they either include him (which might be slightly unethical to post here) or have me in unflattering poses because this particular lover is for some reason averse to casually erotic positioning in photography.  Why he doesn’t take my advice on such things when my most famous New Orleans relative was an artistic photographer, I have no idea.

In any case, I may get around to the Downton post after Interview tomorrow, though everyone else seems to be doing so well on the subject that my input may not be especially valuable anymore.

You guys are making me want to write Downton meta on imperfect relationships and how they’re not terrible, sheesh.  I suppose it’s a good thing then that I have a date for a day trip to the plantation north of Baton Rouge where Jean-Jacques Audubon (noted Créole ornithologist and the namesake for New Orleans’s zoo and aquarium) did most of his early work, or you’d have to read more of my rantings.

Away all evening at the movies for a double feature, Maleficent and then X-Men.  The former was more homoerotic than I’d thought it would be, the latter less.  Tumblr does have a tendency to exaggerate these things…

The linguistic plurality of “Letters from Zedelghem” is really getting to me…sure, I’m fine with all the French, but the untranslated German and Dutch goes right over my head.  Also Flemish, though I’m not sure if that’s a distinct language or a dialect of Dutch or something.  Ugh…
